While moving through the ranks of the music business, from roadie to tour manager, to artist management, and accomplished photographer, Crowe turned to the study of sacred plant medicine and of psychedelics as a way of grounding. "Things were so hectic on the road and there were so many different personalities & energies everywhere. The ceremonies became a way of re-centering and showing me new ways to think about problem solving and who I am in all this." From student participating in psilocybin ceremonies to guiding them, he once told an uninitiated "I wouldn't say psilocybin's the answer, more so, it's a key that can unlock the door that leads to the answer." A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step. For Edward Crowe, each step in that journey has come with its own cost and profit, loss and lesson, and an opportunity to explore reality through another lens. From childhood, the young Edward was fascinated with all things magic and other-worldly, inspired by the many books on spirituality and occultism given to him by his grandmother. As a teenager, he excelled as a magician, performing close-up magic and stage magic until, at 16, Guillain-Barré syndrome left him paralyzed and on life support. What followed was a painful years-long recovery, through which he was forced into a face to face with his own resolve. Discipline rebuilt the body, but it would be creativity and spirituality that birthed a new perception.
